A Typical Day

The Analyst (Valuations & Interest Rate Sensitive Investments) will have a focus on the modeling and valuation of mortgage-related assets utilized in financial statement reporting, hedging financial risk, and pricing activities. This position requires an understanding of financial concepts including discounted cash-flow analysis), fixed-income principles as well as basic accounting principles. The Analyst will report to senior leadership and demonstrate accurate, timely and high-quality analysis

 

The VIRSI Analyst will:

  • Generating reporting regarding mortgage asset valuation, performance, and other key attributes
  • Working with various internal customers to share financial data and key risk metrics
  • Query relational databases to answer ad hoc inquiries
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors that are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

What You’ll Bring

  • 4-Year College Degree
  • Must show an understanding of financial concepts, an analytical mindset, and the ability to express and convey information proficiently using all forms of communication
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Business application skills including Excel, with VBA, SQL, or other coding languages a plus.
  • High level of enthusiasm, innovation and dedication
  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role 
  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role 

 

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
