  • Overview

    The primary role of the Business Development Analyst is to support corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, capital raising activities (i.e., debt and equity financing), and corporate strategic initiatives.  Individuals on the Business Development team interact on a daily basis with C-Level Executives and will gain invaluable experience in financial modeling, strategy formulation, and transaction execution.

    Job Description

    • Prepare presentations and financial analysis related to strategic transactions and corporate initiatives
    • Conduct project work to advance corporate opportunities, working closely with other departments (e.g., Capital Markets, Finance, Accounting) and external parties (e.g., Investment Bankers, Outside Counsel, Rating Agencies, Investors)
    • Conduct industry research and provide regular updates to Senior Management on the competitive landscape of the mortgage industry
    • Support Investor Relations activities
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
    • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

    Ideal Candidate will have the following:

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word; prior financial modeling experience preferred
    • Self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
    • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
    • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
    • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
    • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
