  • Overview

    Responsible for generating the Secondary Marketing daily P&L Report, reconciliations, and ad-hoc reporting. Interaction with the trading desks within Capital Markets, include Accounting and Lending Divisions of PennyMac. Responsibilities also include all hedging activities of the firm, oversight of all trading activities, and quantifies/analyzes the Capital Markets P&L. Generate and automate the Secondary Marketing daily P&L Reports, Accounting Reconciliations, and other Risk Management reports. Interaction with the trading desks, Operations, and IT within Capital Markets; as well as Accounting and the lending divisions of PennyMac.

    Job Description

    • Generate daily position reports including P&L's and Reconciliation
    • Verify trade settlement proceeds and GSE Fees
    • Continual process improvement and validation of data feeds
    • Generate daily position reports (including P&L's and Risk Exposure reports)
    • Analyze and Reconcile P&L's data on a daily basis
    • Perform numerous reconciliations with various groups and data sources (including Accounting, Capital Market Operations, Correspondent Lending, Consumer Direct Lending and GSE)
    • Report Automation via Excel, SQL and VBA
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
    • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

    Ideal Candidate will have the following:

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Intermediate Level in SQL Knowledge of VBA and QRM's Mortgage Banking Model a definite plus, but not required.
    • Good organizational skills to ensure integrity and maintenance of mortgage documents.
    • Strong mathematical aptitude and data analysis skills.
    • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
    • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
    • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
    • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
    • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
